The beautifully maintained Alderbrook Golf Course, member-owned and open to the public, is a hidden gem that is gaining fame. Alderbrook Golf has been consistently recognized among the top courses in the King 5 annual Best of Western Washington contest 3 years in a row (number 2 in 2017), as the best course in 2016 in the West Sound Reader Survey and the best course in the Shelton Mason County Journal for 2017 & 2018.

From somewhere near the tip of a towering fir, a squirrel chatters noisily as you contemplate your tee shot on the double-dogleg 8th hole. On the back nine, you glimpse a doe keeping a careful watch on her fawns frolicking on the fairway. The craggy Olympic Mountains and the sparkling waters of Hood Canal come into sharp relief as you crest the hill on 18.
